Artemis Varsity Women’s team member signs with UT Austin

Artemis Varsity team member, Nadja Yaroschuk signed with University of Texas Austin. Nadja learned to row at an Artemis Summer Learn to Row camp and joined the Novice team in 9th grade. Nadja loves rowing, and looks forward to continuing to row as a collegiate athlete in a D1 program. Nadja plans to major in Pre-Med. Artemis Rowing is proud of Nadja and wishes her continued success!

Two-week Rowing Trial

Not sure if rowing is your thing?   Come try it out for just two weeks!        You can start anytime this fall.  Fees will be applied towards fall registration if you choose to join the team.  Artemis offers rowing programs for 6th through 12th grades, and no prior rowing experience is necessary.   Discover your potential with Artemis Rowing!  Scholarships are available.

Summer Rowing Programs 2017

Learn to Row Camps – Summer 2017

Our summer ‘Learn to Row’ program provides rising 6th to 12th graders with an introduction to rowing. The one week camps focus on the following:

  • Basics of the rowing stroke
  • Water safety and boat awareness
  • Conditioning, stretching and strength training
  • Introduction to training on the erg, the indoor rowing machine
  • Exposure to both sweep and sculling strokes
  • Establishing all the fundamental knowledge of crew
  • Enroll in multiple camps to build rowing skills and join our team in fall!
Weekly Camps:

Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 11:00am at our Jack London Aquatic Center boathouse
Beginner:
for those new to rowing
Experienced Beginner:
for those who have completed at least one week of Learn to Row

  • June 19 – 23 Beginner

  • July 10 – 14 Beginner
